How We Rank Spermidine Supplements
Last updated: May 2026
We're a desk-research site, not a lab. We rank spermidine supplements by aggregating vendor-published Certificates of Analysis, peer-reviewed dosage research, public pricing, and publicly verifiable brand reputation signals. We do not commission independent lab tests or run human trials.
Scoring Weights
Every product is scored from 0–10 across four weighted dimensions. The overall score is the weighted average — not the simple mean. Weights add to 100.
We check whether the vendor publishes a current (within 12 months) Certificate of Analysis from an ISO-accredited third-party lab. We score on whether the CoA exists, how recent it is, what it tests for, and whether stated spermidine content matches label claims.
We score whether the per-serving spermidine dose falls within the 5–10mg range supported by published autophagy research (Eisenberg 2009, Schwarz 2018), and whether the vendor uses a delivery format (capsule, liposomal, powder) with peer-reviewed bioavailability support.
We calculate cost per milligram of labeled spermidine across all advertised pricing tiers and compare against the category average. Subscription discounts and multi-month savings are included.
We check company longevity, manufacturing location, cGMP claims (where independently verifiable), customer service responsiveness, and refund/guarantee policies. Lower weight because reputation signals can be gamed.
Our Process
- Vendor CoA Aggregation. We collect each vendor's publicly available Certificate of Analysis. We verify the issuing lab is ISO-accredited and that the document is dated within the last 12 months. If no CoA exists or it's older than 12 months, the product loses points — we do not commission our own testing.
- Dose & Format Mapping. We map each product's labeled per-serving spermidine against the dose range used in human and animal autophagy research. We note delivery format (standard capsule, liposomal, powder) and reference published absorption data where available.
- Price Normalization. We compute price per milligram of spermidine across all advertised pricing tiers, then index against the category mean. We do not run hidden discount programs or quote subscription prices unless the vendor publishes them.
- Public Reputation Check. We review vendor track record using public sources: BBB rating where available, third-party retailer review counts, time in business, and refund policy. We do not interview vendors or accept paid placement.
What We Don't Do
Honesty is part of the score. We want buyers to know exactly what kind of evidence sits behind our rankings.
- We do not commission independent laboratory testing.
- We do not run human trials or 90-day cohort studies.
- We do not measure dissolution rates.
- We do not test for heavy metals, microbes, or pesticide residues ourselves — we read the vendor's CoA.
- We do not provide medical advice. Consult your doctor before starting any supplement.
Updates & Re-Scoring
We re-check each product at least every six months. A score will move if the vendor publishes a new CoA, changes the per-serving dose, raises or cuts the price by more than 10%, or runs out of stock for more than 30 days. Each review shows the date of the most recent re-score in its header.
